The ACA
The ACA, formally known as Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was a major overhaul to the US health care system in March of 2010 by the then president Barack Obama. The ACA allows income families and those not qualified for private coverage the ability to get health care. These plans are federally and state regulated and income based via Advanced Premium Tax Credit through the federal government.
These plans cater to those receiving financial government assistance, and those with major pre-existing psychiatric and medical conditions.
Private Market
